The experts cannot agree on whether the Huaca El Dragón or Huaca Arco Iris was the work of the Chimú (12-15C) or the Sicán (8-12C). Made up of an ancient temple, the site is above all famous for its thick adobe ramparts adorned with striking sculptures. The motifs depict geometric shapes, animals, warriors and in the middle a rainbow, to which the monument seems to have been dedicated.
