This multimedia exhibition sited at the entrance to the old Lenin dockyard tells the story of trade union Solidarity which embarked on its famous strike on 14 August 1980. The Road to Freedom trail leads to a building now converted into a museum, where visitors can see the famous “safety and hygiene at work” room in which the Gdansk agreement was signed on 31 August 1980. An audio visual presentation details the sequence of events which, in this actual setting where they took place, seem very real indeed.
