The first royal summer residence was built in 1776 at the initiative of King Stanislas II Augustus Poniatowski in the Lazienki Park. In use until completion of the Lazienski Palace, the White House, built as a square with four identical façades, takes its name from the plaster (combined with wood) from which it is constructed. With a balustrade running around its roof, it is topped by a square lantern. It has conserved most of its original 18C decoration.
