On the market square at the heart of the Old Town, Warsaw’s History Museum traces the entire history of what is today capital of the Polish Republic. Laid out over four floors, the museum's collections illustrate the political, religious and public life of the city’s inhabitants over the last five centuries (the coverage of recent history is especially recommended).
