This granite fortress-church was built in the 15-16C by architects from Galicia and Biscay. Apart from a few Gothic features (pinnacles) this church is essentially Renaissance in style - the portals and façades in particular. The southern lateral portal is framed with sculpted pilasters supporting a gallery whose statues are of Mark, Luke, Paul and Peter. The pediment boasts a Virgin accompanied by two angels.
