In this square, you can see the Church of Santa Maria, opposite the Torre palace building (17C Baroque building) and the Santo Amaro hospital, also from the 17C. Note, in contrast, a beautiful 18C house and the town-hall from the late 17C.

A small tarmacked road rises up between pine trees and rocks as far as Nossa Senhora da Penha, at a height of 700 m. From there, you have a great view over Castelo de Vide.
