Some parts of the church are Romanesque, but the portal with pilasters testifies to its reconstruction in the Renaissance. Notice on one of the walls of the polygonal apse an alcove accommodating one of Portugal's oldest statues. On the other side of the church on a different square is a Manueline style pillory.
