On the 13th of each month, these pilgrimages include a torchlight procession, a vigil, a service and a blessing of the sick, and the pilgrimage ends with the procession of the "farewells" to the Virgin. The ardour of the crowd of pilgrims heading along the esplanade, in prayer, often on their knees, towards the chapel of Apparitions, provokes strong emotions. The pilgrims come from all over the world.
