This convent was founded in the 10C by Countess Mumadona. Several buildings have been erected on this site. All that remains of the Gothic collegiate church today is a Roman period capitulary hall and cloister. This building accommodates the Alberto Sampaio museum, which exhibits some remarkable sculptures, paintings and silverware.
