This belvedere looks over the Douro and the north slope of the valley, striped with vines on supports and olive trees on terraces. Some villages and quintas (country houses) are scattered here and there. The white houses of Régua are piled up beside the river and the dry, greyish summits of the Serra do Marão stand out on the horizon.
