Backed up in the shape of an amphitheatre against the south side of a mountain in the Serra Soajo, Lindoso's austere granite houses cling on at a height of 462m. Perfectly suited to the rocky landscape, the small town surrounded by terraced crops (maize, wine) is dominated by a castle and an unusual collection of espigueiros.
