The façade of the House of Facets is faced with diamond-shaped stonework. It was once part of a 16C palace that belonged to Alfonso of Albuquerque, Viceroy of India, who took Goa in 1510. It lost its first floor during the 1755 earthquake but this was rebuilt in 1982.
