Loulé Travel guide
Loulé : Michelin's recommendations
This town once lived in by the Romans guards some sections of the walls of its Moorish castle. It is also a large horticultural and craft centre and you will come across products originating from the villages on the Serra, in particular in the astonishing neo-Moorish (19C) style building where there is a very lively market. Many craftsmen pursue their trades around the historic centre: dwarf palm tree work, esparto work, leather, copper, wool, saddlery, harnessing.
