Nazaré : Michelin's recommendations
Nazaré is located in an exceptional site, possessing a long beach dominated by an abrupt cliff. The city is composed of three distinct neighbourhoods: A Praia, is the biggest, bordering the beach; O Sitio, built on the top of the cliff, and Pederneira which occupies a different area of high-ground. Nazaré means Nazareth, due to a statue of Virgin which was brought back to this city from Palestine by a monk in the 4C.
