Parque arqueológica de Vale do Côa : Michelin's recommendations

Occupying a spectacular and isolated natural setting in the northeast of the country, the Côa Valley Archaeological Park was created to preserve one of world's most important open-air sites for Palaeolithic cave etchings. These were found on the banks of the River Côa, close to its confluence with the Douro. In 1998, the site acquired Unesco World Heritage status.
