In the small all white village of Remédios, at the end of a small courtyard planted with monkey puzzle trees stands this chapel whose interior is covered in attractive 18C azulejos attributed to the studio of Antonio de Oliveira Bernardes. Beyond Remédios, the vegetation fades away to moorland where the lighthouse stands. The view is impressive over the ocean, the isolated rock known as "The Crow's nest" and, out at sea, over the squat silhouette of the island of Berlanga.
