This road, built in 1950, was nick-named "the road of gold" because of its cost. Arduously carved into the coastline, beside a cliff which plunges straight into the ocean, the road is a real achievement in the field of civil engineering. Punctuated with tunnels, this is an impressive road. At the top of the Paul de Serra there are several waterfalls. Before the village of Seixal, a belvedere offers a beautiful view.
