This village occupies an attractive site on a promontory, extended by reefs, surrounded by vineyards. Near the mouth of the river Janela, further to the west, there are three islands... The largest is marked by a kind of window (janela), which the river is named after. As you walk away from the bridge, you will notice a strange rock formation.
