Synagogue : Michelin's recommendations

Built between 1430 and 1460, it was only used as a place of worship until 1497, the date of the expulsion edict for the Jews issued by King Manuel. A Portuguese-Jewish museum is set up there and, in the worship room with its vault resting on pillars, you can see the clay pitchers whose resonance was used to amplify the voice.
