This street is flanked by several houses which have preserved their Manueline facades. Notice in particular, the Carreira palace which today houses the town hall offices. Its very attractive Manueline facade is striking in its symmetry. The casa das Lunas, in the Italian Renaissance style, also has some Manueline elements.
