This meticulous craft was introduced in the cirque by Angèle Mac-Auliffe, a doctor’s daughter, and the technique, which consists of drawing threads from the fabric to create an openwork pattern, was passed on from generation to generation. The price of embroidered items reflects the time required to make them: as an example, a bed sheet can take six months and a tablecloth eight!

Accueil très agréable à partir du moment ou vous vous intéressez réellement au travail de ces brodeuses qui ont fait la réputation de ces dentelles, broderies et des superbes jours de Cilaos . . .
Cons
Il reste peu de brodeuses . . . Le prix élevé mais justifié des dentelles .
