The Maison Folio, or Villa des Châtaigniers, stands in a luxuriant and chaotic garden. Built in the 19C, it is a fine example of the charming houses erected in the colonial era by the great Creole families who came here on holiday. The owner takes you on a fun and fascinating tour around the estate and lets you sample his favourite seasonal citrus fruit. The interior is decorated with beautiful Creole furniture. An elegant outdoor guetali contains traditional musical instruments.
