Saint-André : Michelin's recommendations

Despite recent modernisation, Saint-André has preserved traces of its rural past. Several Malabar temples here and there are reminders of the importance of Tamil culture in the region. Descendants of the “enlisted”, who came from India to work in the cane fields after the abolition of slavery in 1848, are particularly numerous and generally delighted to show you their rituals and include you in their festivals.
