M. Piras, a fascinating and ardent collector, invites you on a journey into the past of Saint-Philippe, and all of Reunion island, through a multitude of everyday objects amassed over the years in his 1850 home (furniture, crockery, shipwright’s and carpenter’s tools, weapons and coins). The Bon Roi Louis Eco-museum is a private initiative which deserves credit for the high-quality explanations and anecdotes scattered throughout the visit.
