When to go
The island of La Réunion is located in the southern hemisphere. Winter, the dry season, runs from May to October. Southern summertime, the rainy season, runs from November to April, which is also the cyclone season.
The most pleasant time to visit La Réunion is April-December, with a preference for April-May and September-October.
Time difference
There is a time difference of 3 hours in summer and 4 hours in winter with La Réunion and the United Kingdom and Ireland. So when it is 12noon in London, it is 3 or 4pm in Saint-Denis.
Documents
European Union nationals require a valid passport and a return ticket.
No plants, vegetables or fruits can be imported onto the island.
