Cap Méchant (“Cape Wicked”) is a most impressive place when you’re standing on the edge of the cliffs (be sure to follow all safety rules), feeling the power of the Indian Ocean and its waves incessantly pounding the black basalt. It is an awesome spectacle, to be enjoyed before or after a picnic under the filao trees in the vast area in front of the cape.
