This area designating the eastern slope of the Piton de la Fournaise is delimited by the Rempart du Tremblet on the south and by the Rempart de Bois-Blanc on the north. Several generations of eruption ejecta have poured out here, often all the way to the sea. Spaces have been set up on the side of the road where one can admire these impressive flows of cooled-off magma falling into the ocean.
