The heart of the Lipscani district, this eponymous street is especially agreeably in the evenings when its many cafés and restaurants come alive. The presence of galleries and antique dealers represents a continuation of its trading history; during the 18C, Jewish and Transylvanian merchants sold fabrics here from Leipzig (Lipsca in Romanian). Note Hanul cu Tei at n°65 (lime tree inn), the narrow-façaded Voaleta house at n°83, and finally the national bank.
