On a hilltop site with fine views, the museum has a collection of typical Maramures buildings set in a pleasant rustic landscape. Visiting these structures, which are furnished and decorated, gives a clearer idea of the carpenters’ skills. Don’t miss the farm from Bogdan Voda (1795), the 16C wood church from Oncesti in the Iza Valley, calvaries, memorial slabs and tombstones.
