Piatra-Neamt : Michelin's recommendations
Piatra-Neamt is one of the main towns in the south of the Bukovina region. Its golden age was under Stephen the Great (1457-1504), who built the church of St John the Baptist in 1498 (note the façade embellished with ceramic roundels in the local style). The town is rich in museums: the ethnographic and art museums on Liberty Square, plus the interesting Neolithic museum which displays objects and sculpture from the Cucuteni culture (3500-3000 BC).
