Monastery Church : Michelin's recommendations
The church is best visited during organ recitals to fully appreciate its acoustics. In the Gothic style, the 13C Dominican monastery church was virtually destroyed in the 19C and today has a Baroque interior, with a fine 17C altarpiece attributed to sculptor Johann Vest and painter Jeremias Stranovius. Note also the 15C bronze baptismal font, and the 35 oriental carpets, traditional offerings from the city's mercantile guilds.
