Dominated by the summit of Omul (2 507m), the Bucegi mountains form a jagged wall enclosing the Prahova Valley. Cable cars from Sinaia and Busteni head upwards to reach a vast plateau, a veritable paradise for walkers and winter sports lovers. Numerous refuges (including cabana Valea and cabana Miorita).
