Sulina : Michelin's recommendations

The only town in the Danube delta, Sulina lies on its busiest branch and was in the 19C the seat of the European Danube Commission, charged with the navigable development of the delta. Exclusively engaged in river life, the town’s activities are dictated by the comings and goings of vessels. Before heading for its long beach (over 20km), note the remarkable lighthouse (1870), now some distance from the sea, proof if needed that the Danube’s alluvial deposits have changed this coastline.
