Andronikov Monastery Recommended Recommended : Michelin's recommendations

The Cathedral of the Saviour, which you can see upon entering the holy gate of Andronikov Monastery, is the oldest stone building in the capital, built between 1410 and 1426. Like many Russian churches, it is decorated with elegant kokoshniki. Within the walls are also the Baroque Church of the Archangel Michael, the monks’ refectory, and the fascinatingAndrei Rublev Museum of Early Russian Culture and Art, where a host of ancient icons is on display.
