The Museum of History is a fabulous time machine taking you back through the past of the Russian empire from the Palaeolithic to the late 18C, featuring nomadic houses of the steppe peoples in the Bronze Age, precious jewels excavated from Viking tombs, frescoes and icons from the churches in old Russia’s cities, furniture and costumes from life in the court of the tsars. Each room has its own unique décor and reconstructions that look just like the real thing.
