Pushkin still takes pride of place on this tree-lined boulevard embellished with gardens and fountains. Going from Pushkin Square to Nikitsky Gate along the line of the old ramparts destroyed in the late 18C, there is the Pushkin Theatre (at n° 23), the Pushkin café and the Select restaurant (at n° 26). Also there is a statue of the famous couple he formed with Natalia Goncharova in front of the Church of the Ascension, showing them at their wedding in 1831.
