Den Gamle By is in parkland along Viborgvej in the western part of Århus. It is one of the most picturesque and beautiful open-air museums in Denmark. Old houses and buildings from towns across the country, dating from the 17C to the 19C, have been carefully reconstructed here, with not a single detail overlooked. These include workshops, a school, a chemist's, a baker's, a post office, the mayor's residence and a tannery. A delightful stroll down memory lane.

Une reconstruction des plus belles maisons du Danemark dans un musée à ciel ouvert qui s'agrandit régulièrement. On dit souvent que le centre-ville d'Aalborg se trouve à Aarhus car de nombreuses maisons du centre historique d'Aalborg ont été reconstruites à l'identique dans ce musée.
