Cuisine modern

Menu 375/600 DKK - Carte 350/525 DKK

Set below pavement level in a lovely 19C building, this ultra-chic restaurant comes with crisp linen, fine china, minimalist styling and views of the chefs in the designer kitchen. Two set menus offer cleanly and confidently prepared dishes with bold flavours. Relaxed service is courtesy of a young team.

      Pros

Nice staff, friendly welcome, the menues were presented and explained. The four-course menu (two different) and the wines from the winemenu (different depending on the menu chosen) were explained in detail. The first Three coures were accompanied by Three different breads. All in all - food was very well prepared and served.

      Cons

Some of the artistic items in the restaurant wasn't to my liking.

      Pros

Simple clean style and that does not just apply to the interior design. Breathtakingly simple but exquisite combinations of flavours- way better than many of the great 3 etoiles establishments featured in this guide. Immaculate (& unpretentious) service from waiters who knew both their food and their wines. Outrageously good, how come this is not being lauded a la Noma??

      Cons

The multiple types of different breads served with each course can be overwhelming. The liquorice flavoured bread may be very "Danish" but it was too strong for both the matching food and wine.
