Old Town : Michelin's recommendations
The old town surrounding the cathedral has kept its town hall, Det Gamle Rådhus, dating from 1496, one of the oldest town halls in Denmark. In Skolegade you may see the house where Hans Tausen, Denmark's first reformer, spent the last years of his life. On the main square, Torvet, there is a small early-17C inn called Weis' Stue with a charming interior that has remained unchanged for three centuries. Apart from the cathedral, Skt Catharine Kirke is the only remaining church in Ribe built before the Reformation.
