This protected area of sandy beaches is lined with dunes that used to shift constantly, until trees were planted here in 1878 to stabilise them. Blåbjerg, or Blue Mountain, refers to Denmark's highest dune, describing how it looks from out at sea. A whole network of footpaths criss-crosses the area. The beach at Henne Strand is particularly pleasant.
