Bergen Art Museum Recommended Recommended : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum
The museum's four different sections have recently been renamed Kode 1, Kode 2, Kode 3 and Kode 4, described below from east to west. The Art Deco building, at no. 9, houses the Kode 4-Lysverket Fine Arts Museum, which has an interesting collection of Norwegian and international art: icons and paintings by old Flemish masters, an overview of Norwegian painting (with Johan Christian Dahl), and the Stenersen Collection, which includes pieces by Klee, Picasso and Miró, and of course Norwegian artists ( Edvard Munch and Jacob Weidemann). Kode 3 presents the Rasmus Meyer Collections (Norwegian art from the 19C to 1915). Kode2-Stenersen, named after financier and patron Rolf Stenersen (1899-1978), is in the glass building at no. 3, dedicated to interesting temporary exhibitions of contemporary art. Lastly, Kode 1-West Norway Museum of Decorative Art presents a fine collection devoted to the region's decorative arts, from the most ancient times to the latest trends in Norwegian design.
