This open-air museum on the coast comprises more than forty reconstructed wooden houses from Bergen dating from the 18C-19C. Relocated here in order to safeguard them, they contain period furniture, realistically illustrating bygone life. Visitors can take in a photographer’s studio from around 1900, a humble seamstress’ 19C house, an opulent merchant’s summer residence built in 1798, a barber’s shop and a bakery with its shop and ovens.
