Mandal : Michelin's recommendations

Nestled in a small bay protected by a picturesque group of islands, Mandal is Norway’s southernmost town and one of the oldest and most attractive on the south coast. Whitewashed wooden houses, cobbled streets, café terraces, an open-air market, brightly-coloured shops and a relaxed atmosphere make this a charming spot. The centre is busy in summer, especially during August’s Shellfish Festival. A protected site with a beautiful beach lies at the tip of the little peninsula.
