Fram Museum
Fram Museum
: Michelin's recommendations
There is a single ship in this museum: the Fram, built to reach the poles despite the hostility of ice and snow. It has a smooth keel offering minimal friction, powerful interior reinforcements, a helm and propeller that could be raised in case of getting caught in the ice-floes. Three men, Fridtjof Nansen, Otto Sverdrup and Roald Amundsen, used this ship on polar expeditions between 1893 and 1910
