: Michelin's recommendations
tromsø is a city-island in the middle of a wide channel between the coast, to the east, and the island of Kvaløya. Tromsø’s location north of the Arctic Circle means it enjoys the midnight sun for two months during summer, but from mid-November to mid-January is plunged into darkness, sometimes lit by the Northern Lights.
