The "Arctic Cathedral" is the most original monument of the Tromsø area. This modern masterpiece allies glass and concrete in a simple yet eyecatching geometrical whole, making use of the Arctic light to suggest an iceberg with its ridge towards the sky. With the imposing mass of Mount Tromsdalstind as a backdrop, this construction is particularly impressive from the other side of the bridge. The triangular façade is made of neutral glass panels. At the other end, an enormous stained-glass window casts a strange light onto the altar.
