Museum of Musical Instruments
: Michelin's recommendations
This museum dedicated to musical instruments overlooks the city and the fjord. It is housed in the splendid Ringve manorhouse built in the 19C on a peninsula. Visits always take the form of guided tours and these include demonstrations of rare instruments by students. Among these instruments are 18C wind chimes, a London harpsichord dating from 1767, a grand piano from 1783, a Brussels piano harp from the 19C, an Amati violin (1612), an elegant French harpsichord (18C), a rectangular piano, Barbary organs, and exotic and miniature instruments.

Pros
I enjoyed this so much that I always look to find a similar museum anywhere else I go.
Cons
Rather a long wait for an English tour.
