This long valley where the Lågen flows reaches from Bjørli in the north to Lillehammer in the south, over more than 203km. Head to Hunderfossen Family Park, a theme park in Grandrumoen, where you can see the re-enactment of local folk stories. In Ringebu, admire the stave church (13C). In Sør Fronn, you can follow Peer Gynt Mountain Road (Peer Gyntveien), named after the protagonist of Ibsen's play. After Otta and Dombas, in tundra country, you come to Hjerkin, which boasts a modern church, one of the emblematic works of contemporary Norwegian architecture.
