Kjenndalsbreen – Kjenndal Glacier Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

The road that runs alongside the shore of Lovatn Lake, as you go up the Lodal valley, certainly makes an impact: extremely narrow in places, it is overshadowed by jagged, rocky peaks. Two major landslides occurred in the 20C near the hamlet of Bødal, wiping out the communities that lived there. Parts of the mountain, Ramnefjell, slid into the lake, creating giant waves, one of which lifted up a steamboat that was crossing the water and swept it 400m away to the side of the mountain!
