The guided tour of the silver mine includes a 2.3km trip by miniature train in the heart of the mountain to King's Mine (Kongens Gruve), 1 070m down. The train stops at 342m, where compressors supplied the machinery with energy. A demonstration of the Fahrkunst, the first machine to take men up and down the mine, can be seen in the Kongens Gruve. This German-designed machine was installed around 1880. Visitors can also see the room where the miners used to take their break.
